This trippytaka original 100% combed cotton men’s tee is all about summer and the split-screen VW Kombi.
When Volkswagen released its Type 2 1950, officially known as Transporter, no one could have dreamed of the pop influence it would later have.
Most commonly known as the Kombi, and to some the hippy-van, the VW Transporter featured classic design cues like the split windscreen (split-screen) an oversized VW badge and the V-shaped panel detail on the nose.
The VW split-screen Kombi has had more lives than a cat – rebuilt and reborn every generation as a surfer van, a hippy bong chamber and a backpacker’s hostel. Today the Volkswagen Kombi is commanding more respect, being restored and treasured for its rarity.
