James Moffat and Fans Build James’ New V8 Supercar

Entering his second full V8 Supercars series, James Moffat will reveal his new car and livery in a spectacular public launch in the Church Street Mall, Parramatta at 12:00pm on Monday February 6.

Dick Johnson Racing and Car 18’s new naming rights sponsor, Norton, are planning an extraordinary reveal which will give V8 fans the opportunity to actually help build the new V8 race car.

Moffat’s race car will arrive at the venue as a rolling chassis – a roll cage fitted with an engine, but without bodywork or wheels.

James, a team of mechanics from Dick Johnson Racing – and avid race fans – will build and start the race car in less than half an hour.

In the process they’ll reveal the new livery of the car and establish a time-to-build record.

Along with the reveal itself, the activity will provide fans with the opportunity to meet with James and his four times touring car champion Dad, Allan, as well a five times touring car champion Dick Johnson.

There will be fan prize draws every five minutes. The grand prize is a hot lap in James’ new car.
