Wow! OK, not only does this Warwick yellow 1968 HK Monaro look like the toughest machine ever to wear four wheels, it actually is!
Our mates at FUEL Magazine went down Lake Gairdner and were lucky enough to witness Wayne Pickles clocking 217.155MPH on the salt flats in his 1968 Holden Monaro. For those thinking in kays, that’s a bee’s genital off 350km/h. Not too shady for an HK that rolled off the production line over 40 years ago.
Once again, we have to say a big congrats to Luke for his stunning photography. If you haven’t picked up a copy of FUEL Magazine, you’re missing out. It bridges the gap between art and Hot Rod culture.
