FHM covers our HQ Monaro TShirt

I know it’s hard to get past the cover, featuring Kim Kardashian, but if you make it to page 8 you’ll see trippytaka. Yep, our tees have made another monthly publication. This time it’s the massive global brand of FHM spruiking our shirts. We’ve made the “Office Obsessions” for Feb.

Thanks to Guy Mosel and the rest of the crew at FHM Australia. We really appreciate the support.

2nd Ford Falcon T3 Shirt Concept

And now for a slightly more “abstract” design concept for the custom-order Ford Falcon T3 shirt… you’ve got to love the angles on that Tickford spoiler!

Ford Falcon T3 T-Shirt Concept

Some of the members of Australian Ford Forum have banded together to request some shirts… the Ford Falcon T2 and the T3. Here’s our first design concept. It’s less abstract than some of our other designs, but we think it’s pretty tough looking! Fingers crossed they like it.

Just a quick note to let you all know that we’re now fully fledged sponsors of the Australian Ford Forums. We’ve got our own forum in there with info, pics and suggestions for new Australian muscle car tshirts.

Old School Mazda Clothing

Have you ever wondered what Australian muscle car and Mazda rotary tshirts and clothing used to look like? After cruising around car shows for the last couple of decades I was certain that most of the t-shirt designs are stuck in the past. And then I found this on Ausrotary.com

Behold the 1985 Mazda RX7 t-shirts and clothing catalogue. I don’t know what’s more hilarious the height of the guy’s shorts, the perilous cameltoe-inducing shorts on the woman, or the hair. Brilliant! Let’s hope our RX3 shirts are half as cool as this gear. RX-3 Shirts

trippytaka in Street Machine…

… and we didn’t even notice. Seriously, I bought the magazine the week before Summernats and headed straight for the cover story on the LX SS Torana. It wasn’t until we had customers telling us that they’d seen the editorial that we twigged.

A massive thank you to Simon Telford, Seddo and the gang at Street Machine. It’s been the muscle car bible since… forever – way back before I even had my first paper run!

ShowCar Sunday Pics – 2010

It was a pretty big day for us at Showcar Sunaday… we had a trade stand and managed to shift a few shirts. The RX-3 shirts were the stand out sellers, closely follwed by the new Ford XA GT shirt.

The New Shirts Are Online! More soon!

OK, so we kind of got caught up at a show this weekend, but the shirts are now up online! As I mentioned before, we’ve got a Ford XA GT Falcon, a Mazda RX-3 (for the Rotary fans) and something a bit different… a shotgun blower design! We’ve even got different colours!

Apologies for taking a while with the new designs, we’ve been flat out filling orders since launch (your support has been amazing, thank you). The good news is that we’ve got a few more designs in the pipeline and are planning to release a couple every month or two. So, if we don’t have a design of your favourite car, email us and let us know!

We’ve updated the homepage banner (again!)… I have to tip my hat to Rhea here, she’s certainly the talent in this operation. You’ll also notice that the “Flare” (A9X Torana) and “Grilled” (HQ GTS Monaro) shirts are still reduced to $25. Yep, we’ve got new stock in for those designs, so all the sizes are there again, but you can still pick them up at 2009 Christmas Prices!

New Shirt Designs: Preview!

Guess what? There’s 3 new trippytaka  designs coming out today! That’s right, we’re picking up the new shirts (and our third print run of our classics range) from the printer at lunch. There’s a Ford XA-GT, a Mazda RX-3 and we’ve tried something a bit different with a Shotgun Blower.

We’ll have pictures of the shirts themselves once we get them back from the printer. They’ll be up on the store tonight too.

Here’s a preview:

Summernats 23 Photos, Jan 09 2010

We have just on 300 photos from Summernats 23 (Saturday) to go through, so I thought I’d load some up now. A couple of Monaros, some killer hot rods, plenty of Fords and a Charger thrown into the mix.

Click, enlarge… enjoy.
