Product and Sizing Information

  • What kind of quality are your shirts?
trippytaka believes that Aussie car fans deserve the best quality shirts available, Holden, Ford or otherwise.

We went to great lengths to track down shirts that look and feel great. Torana, Monaro and Falcon GT fans can rest assured that a trippytaka mens shirt won't turn to cardboard like most of the other cheap car shirts on the market. Just check the specs:

    • 100% combed cotton [nice and soft]
    • 180GSM weight [won't tear in a slight breeze]
    • Pre-shrunk fabric [if the shirt gets smaller, blame the pies and beer]
    • Double-needle bottom hem and sleeves [the stitching won't fall apart on you]
    • Shoulder-to-shoulder tape [no scratchy seams]
    • Side-seamed for a tailored fit [so the shirt doesn't look like a muumuu]
  • How do I know what size to wear?

Grab a tee that fits you great and measure its length and width.
Then use those measurements to find your size.

      S M L XL 2XL 2XL+
    Width [cm] 47.5 52 56.5 61 65.5 66
    Length [cm] 72 75 78 81 84 84
  • What's the go with the 2XL+?
It's a slightly different cut, which makes it a bit wider than the 2XL, to accommodate a slightly rounder body.
  • What are the washing instructions?
Make sure you take care of your shirt by following these instructions:
    • Machine wash cold
    • Tumble dry low
    • Hang drying your tee inside-out is recommended to minimise possible fading or shrinkage
    • Don't iron on the design. Learn how to iron around it. Or get someone else to do it if you've got clumsy hands.
    • Don't dryclean it
These instructions are located on the inside of the collar too.
  • Tell me about shirt shrinkage
The trippytaka t-shirt supplier advertises the shirts we use to be “Pre-Shrunk to minimize shrinkage”. trippytaka does not take any responsibility for shrinkage. Please follow the washing instructions on the tag, located on the inside of the collar.

  • Where are your shirts made?

We plan to release shirts that pay homage to other Holden, Ford, and Chrysler models [like the EH, or the VC Valiant] and will also move into American muscle car shirts very soon. If you want tell us what you think would make a cool car shirt, simply email us:  contact@trippytaka.com.au

Shirt Availability

  • trippytaka is a small business run by extremely dedicated motoring nuts. We are only releasing our t-shirts in limited numbers. Think of this as a positive. We’re not a sausage factory, so buying from us means that every Tom, Dick and Harry won’t be wearing the same t-shirt as you.

The bad side of this is that our designs will sell out. We apologise for this, but rest assured, if a design sells out fast, we’re already onto the case of re-ordering. If we’re out of stock of a design, and you want it, let us know.

  • What car do you guys drive?
At the moment, nothing we care to sit in longer than we have to. Keep following our blog because we plan to have something pretty special by June 2010
